Terms of Service

The Service

Name Brewery provides name-generation tools and domain-name checking: registration availability, aftermarket listings, registrar pricing, archive history, and links to buy domains at third-party registrars. Signed-in users also get account features such as check history and favorites.

We report lookups; we do not provide verdicts or advice. Trademark-related links point to public search tools and are not legal advice. Nothing in the Service is a guarantee that a name is safe to use for your business.

Accounts

You can create an account by signing in with an email one-time code or a supported sign-in provider (such as Google or GitHub). You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and for keeping access to your email or sign-in provider secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Credits and payments

Some features consume prepaid credits. New accounts receive a free credit allowance; more can be purchased as one-time packs or a monthly subscription. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar, acting as merchant of record; their terms apply to the checkout and billing relationship.

• Credits are tied to your account. They are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and may not be resold.
• If a check fails on our side after charging credits, those credits are refunded to your account automatically.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals. For billing questions or refund requests, contact us.
• We may change pricing and the free allowance; changes do not affect credits you have already purchased.

Accuracy of domain information

Availability, pricing, aftermarket listings, and archive history come from third-party sources and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. A domain shown as available may be registered by the time you try to buy it; listed aftermarket prices are not guaranteed. Always confirm at the registrar before relying on a result.

Buy links and third parties

Buy links lead to third-party registrars and marketplaces. Any purchase you make there is a contract between you and that third party, on their terms. Some buy links earn Name Brewery a commission at no extra cost to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, or bot protection;
• scrape, bulk-harvest, or resell data from the Service, or offer the Service to third parties as your own;
• disrupt the Service or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide;
• use the Service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service, and may ask us to delete your account, at any time.

Names you generate

We claim no ownership of names the Service generates for you, and we make no promise that a generated name is unique, available as a trademark, or not already in use by someone else. Generated names may also be suggested to other users.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Name Brewery will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date; material changes will be flagged on the Service or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
